Shiatsu
Shiatsu comes from the Japanese shi, meaning finger, and atsu, meaning pressure. Shiatsu works to remove blockages of energy flow and reduces imbalances in the system. Shiatsu has a number of positive benefits it promotes circulation, and the flow of lymphatic fluid, it works on the nervous system, releases deep-seated tension from the muscles as well as eliminating toxins. It stimulates the hormonal system and encourages the bodys natural healing abilities. Shiatsu is profoundly relaxing and grounding. It helps to balance and harmonise the bodys energy by applying pressure to the meridian systems (energy channels in Eastern medicine) and using gentle assisted stretches.
